Using responses to questions in rules

Intelligent Reports allows you to ask questions from the user who is generating a report using your template. For example, you may want to generate a project progress report for any project that you are tracking in JIRA. You can allow the report user to pick the project for which they want a report. You can do this using questions.

Once you have set up your questions, you can use rules to tell Intelligent Reports how you want to use the report users' responses in generating a report.

Once you have created a rule, you can use the response to the question to select the JIRA data to fill in your report using rule actions. You can also use the responses to questions to conditionally execute rules.

Using the answer to a question in a rule

In the above example, we are using the response to the question called Project to fill in the name of the project in the report.
